The i-care 5500 Central Unit is specifically
designed to be installed directly into a standard Medical
Call or monitoring centre. The i-care 5500 Central Unit
software connects directly to the incoming phone lines
via the 5500HW
or the 5500LC line diversion device from CareTech. Then
all that is required is to connect the 4200 CarePhone
at the patient’s residence and program it to call
back into the alarm centre. The i-care 5500 Central
Unit can take inputs from the CareTech, Tunstall, Smartcall
alarms phones.
The i-care 5500 Central Unit software provides audio
alerts on incoming alarms and will automatically answers
any incoming call from the 4200 CarePhone and immediately
opens a voice communication path between the call centre
and the home care patient. The call centre can then
use the i-care software in both simplex and duplex (speak
and listen) mode or switch between depending on the
surround environment.
The i-care software on alarm will display patient details
like:
• Medical Conditions
• Alarm Location
• Service Provided to patient
• Full history of all previous alarms and services
provided
• Location of Key or any special access required
into the site
The i-care 5500 Central Unit will also provide call
centre operators the possibility to remotely login to
the CarePhone and operate the onsite equipment. e.g
open door, turn off smoke alarm, reset alarm siren.
The call centre operator can also remotely login into
a CarePhone at any time and re-program that phone as
the patient requests.
